The Trichocereus thelogonus seedling is an eye-catching cactus species, renowned for its distinct and robust characteristics. This South American native stands out with its cylindrical, columnar stems that can reach impressive heights of up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) under ideal conditions.
This species of Trichocereus showcases a remarkable surface texture with well-defined areoles ontop of hexagonal warts that give it a unique, geometric appearance. Golden spines create a striking contrast against the cactus’s smooth, blue-green skin. Over time, this species may develop multiple columns, adding to its dramatic presence.
One of the most captivating features of Trichocereus thelogonus is its ability to produce large, white flowers that are as striking as they are ephemeral. Blooming primarily at night during the warmer months, these flowers can reach up to 7 inches (18 cm) in diameter and emit a delicate, sweet fragrance.
Plants will be sent bare rooted: Please ensure that you have your substrate and pot ready for your new plant! Sending plants bare rooted is the safest way to protect them, from damage in transit and rot.
